Happy Tuesday to you all! My back is getting a bit better. I'm still on the search for the reason for the regular down time and a solution to get me fully back up and running. Your prayers are quite welcomed.
But, thankfully, I'm up enough to do the basic things I do in a day, with times of rest. This weekend will be a big test for my back. We have our biggest show of the year. We'll be teaching and doing fashion shows at The Original Creative Festival at the Sharonville Convention Center. The convention runs Thursday-Saturday. It's an amazing show with workshops, demonstrations, and fashion shows from many different types of crafters (sewing, quilting, yarn crafts, beading, and weaving, etc.). Some of the workshops have a fee (our skirt class does), but many are free. The convention costs $8 per day with a $2 off coupon at their website. You can see the workshop, demo, and vendor list there also. If you ever wanted to learn a new craft or take your current craft to the next level, The Original Creative Festival is the place to be.
Make sure you stop by and say hi at the SquigglyTwigs Designs shop or better yet come to one of our classes or shows. If you are within a short drive, you could make a fun little trip out of it for a group of friends and daughters. There are many hotels within walking distance. And, an indoor waterpark across the street to make a fun little family vacation.
Now for the Tuesday's Tute Replay...Gather with your machine without pulling any threads! Yes, your machine can really do this. We love, love, love ruffles and I haven't pulled threads since learning this technique. You can love ruffles too!!!!!
I hope to meet some locals at the Festival. For those who are a bit father away, watch the blog for some surprises while we're gone. I hope to share a bit of what I see at the festival with you.
Happy Sewing!
Debbie
