A month ago a friend told me about American Sewing Guild. This organization is a wonderful way to meet other people who sew and also love to share their craft with others. Check out their website and see if a club is in your area. Also, if you don't have one nearby, they've just started online club meetings. We had one meeting two weeks ago, where there were 600 participates. The second meeting is tonight. I get to be one of the presenters tonight, and am teaching how to repurpose adult jeans into children's jeans.
You do need to be a member of ASG to participate in the online club meetings.
It costs $40/year to be a member of ASG, but membership comes with many discounts, a magazine, and so much learning, not to mention sewing friends.
I've learned a great deal in the past month and love talking sewing with new friends. I'm sure you will, too.
