Curley's Christmas Dress is done. I drafted the top from a good fitting long sleeve shirt. The fabric (top) came from a silky velour dress found at Goodwill last week. The skirt and bow are a poly/cotton with a floral brocade. It's a bummer that the pattern doesn't show up in the picture. I may add few rows of rouching just up from the hem, yet...still contemplating that one.
Handsome Dude has a vest coming from the same (red) fabric...cut, but not yet sewn. Nap ended too quickly today.
BEAUTIFUL design! I'm starting to feel inspired, and am ready to start deconstructing old prom and bridesmaid's gowns.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Allie. You can do it...we'd love to see the dresses when you finish. I have two hanging in my kitchen ready to become princess dresses for Christmas presents.
ReplyDeleteCurly thinks she chose them for me to wear for dress up play. hehe.
I love your dd's dress- it's beautiful! So festive!
ReplyDeleteYou commented on my blog a little while ago and I didn't see it right away, but I responded to it now :)
